Hallo!

Mein deutsch is so schlecht, daß ich dieses text in English schreibt.

I'm about to buy full dj equipment expect headphones. In Sweden, where I live, electronics are very expensive. Therefore I'm gonna buy it from Germany.

I have €650 to spend and I need a pair of decent turntables, cartridges, mixer and two slipmats. Do you have any suggestions what to buy and where to buy it?

I've mailed the guys at AudioMensch already.

Thanks in advance.

Hi!

First of all: Welcome here!

The Second thing: 650€ are not sooooo much if you want to buy good stuff... But let me have a try...

I would say 2 Numark TT500 (600€...), a Denon X100 (200€) and 2 Ortofon Concorde DJ-S (100€)...
I know thats more than 650€... but you will have much more fun with it!

The alternative is to buy some used turntables...

BUT BEWARE OF BUYING ANY CHEAP CRAP!
If you get an answere from AudioMensch post it here... So we can help you...!

(wow... Long time ango that i wrote in english... Sorry if there are any mistakes...)

Danke schön!

€650 is almost not enough for a turntable, but that's all i have. The TT-500 are intresting, as well as the TT-200. I'm not sure, but I think i can buy a pair of Gemini PT-2400 for €500 at my local shop. They are used though. I'll post the reply from AudioMensh if I get one.

Furthermore I understand your english perfectly well.

I am very pleased to hear that you understand my English...

But its very interesting that no other members gave you an answer!
May there are no english speaking DJ out there... ;) Just kidding

If you can read German a little, try some posts of other members.
The question "i need turntables" came very often the last weeks...
Maybe you get some informations about the TT200 or any other turntable.

The only thing I can say is that the TTX and TT500 (same as TTX but no digital faetures...) are very good... the cheaper ones are often not that good...!

So long... Good night, good fight!

EDIT: I just read a short review about the Gimini... It seems like its not bad! But i dont know if 500€ are OK... :)

another possibility would be to keep an eye on ongoing ebay auctions. save up a little more money (i´d say about 250 euro) and then check ebay. i did it the same way (first time ;)) and i have not regretted it by now.

and i would rather buy a set of technics 12XXmk2 and a nice mixer (i don´t know what style you´re preferring, but for hiphop a 2channel battle mixer would do the job, for the electronic styles a mixer startin with 3 or more full channels, 3band equalizer and other features like kill-switch, onboard effect unit etc...would be first choice.) read a little bit through the forum, then you get a good overview about the gear we DJs are runnin here (not give a buying decition, but a good tip :D).

i hope i could help you a little bit,
greetz to the wonderful sweden from the wonderful austria,
MUVA :D

Hi, ebay is a good idea - there you often can win auctions with MKII`s for a small money for a technics...so about 300€...and the mixer you can buy at some online stores... look here and you`ll find your favourite mixer for a nice price...

You can also look at http://deejayladen.de/ they are making good set prices.
Click on "DJ-Equipment" then "Set-Preis-Anfrage" and then Turntable-set there you can configure your set

Thanks again for your answers. Ebay is hard in sweden because we don't have anything like it here. But of course their is used turntables to buy, although it's still very expensive. I just don't understand why! The 1210 cost around 3000 SEK each, and then I'll only have 500 SEK (€50) for a mixer.

I havent seen any other used models for sale expect on TT-200 but it was only sold with an TT-1650 and that's not what I want.

I will browse the forums a bit and I'll hope that I could find a decent turntable for a good price. Anyone heard anything about the Reloop RP-4000M3D?

Hi!

I owned the Reloop RP-400 M3Ds and I think, for using at home they're completely acceptable.
But don't buy any Reloop Mixer!
For beginning at home, you could use the RP-400 M3D , then look for a Denon X-100 or 300 and you should be satisfied.

the gemini pt2400 you mentioned would be an option. but 500€ are way to much. i'd take em at a price up to 350€, depending on their condition.

Again, danke schön für alles answers.

Gemini XL-500II is available for €150.00 each / €300.00 for two of them. They are used too, as well as the PT2400, in a store to show customers what it is. I'll give the m a call right now and I'll write something here if I get a good deal.

I bet he was talking about 500 € for a pair of them ;)
Well don't make the mistake and buy cheap stuff now and better equipment later. If you take it searious - save some more money and you won't be disappointed.

Yes, €500 / pair.

I gave them a call and there are two left in all their stores in Sweden. I have to call the hq but they are closed. With some luck I could get them. If cartridges are included, it seems to be a a good deal. Then I have €150.00 to a mixer. I guess that all I need?

Turntables, cartridges, (slipmats), mixer, headphones (already have a good pair).
