EBM is not dead
In einem Vertrag fuer eine Party den ich demnaechst warscheinlich unterschreiben werde steht follgendes zum Schluss. Ist jemand schon sowas begegnet und was ist davon zu halten?
Legal (and not in the usual small print)
Organizing parties is heavy enough; especially for small organizations like ours. So it is only logical that we don’t like ‘surprises’ from the legal front. The venue will be responsible for the rights due for copyright etc. but: We will not accept DJ’s mixing with Laptops or burned CD’s. This because of the legal implications it might have for us and the venue, as well as the fact that the false competition of this kind of MP3-DJ’s spoil the broth for those DJ’s which do legally obtain their music. Even if you have come from far, your gig will be cancelled, you will not be paid and you will be reported to the appropriate copyright authorities. And that’s just because we think that tar and feathers are too much work.
